Bring crafts to your crafting with Sara Signature Crafty Fun

We’re so excited to unveil the latest addition to the Sara Signature line up – Crafty Fun. If you’re passionate about all things crafting, whether it’s papercraft, needlecraft or art, you’re going to want to check it out! With adorable craft-themed motifs like sewing machines, buttons and paint brushes, punchy printed paper, multi media elements and so much more, this is a collection that is perfect for the uber creatives.
With a collection that is so huge and packed full of so many exciting products, it can be a little bit overwhelming, leaving you with almost too much inspiration. That’s why we thought we’d put together this little post to give you some hints and tips on how to use your Sara Signature Crafty Fun products!
As we mentioned, this is a pretty massive launch and there are products for crafters of all abilities, including dies, stamps, embossing folder, ribbon, paper pads, card packs, stencils, brads, pom pom trim and charms! It’s such a fantastic array of bits and bobs, and we just know that you’re going to love them all. Here are just a few ideas on how to put them to good use…
We love the look of this monochromatic orange card, which has a sort of 70s look to it. The fabulous florals, the all orange die-cuts and the pretty bow embellishment all tie together to make the most gorgeous card. You can try off-setting your monochromatic colour scheme by incorporating a little bit more colour in subtle ways, like this card has done with the matting and layering. All together, it’s a stunning piece that will definitely turn heads!
Go all out with the needlecraft-themed products, like in the card above. This designer has used the Hoop Trio Dies to create a cute effect with stitches and a sentiment, as well as adding a bit of an aperture with the Cute as a Button Cut & Emboss Folder. If you fancied going even further down the multi media route, you could stitch into the paper or add some cross stitched elements.
With such a creative collection, it’s kind of impossible to not get creative with your card bases. Take a look at the image above to see a brilliantly blue Z fold card that’s adorned with art elements. With a Z fold, you can add bold elements to the front fold to create drama, then use more subtle embellishments on the back panel. With the Artist’s Palette Die, you can play with colour to add subtle little pops of fun to your final piece too!
Not only is this collection ideal for cardmaking, it’s also perfect for making home decor, like the little panel that you can see above. This project features the Craft Room Stencil, which has been used with texture paste to create a 3D effect, then adorned with blue ink and gilding wax. This sign can be added into your craft room or given as a lovely, homemade gift to a fellow crafter!
If minimal is more of your style, you can totally achieve beautifully minimalistic looks with this collection too! In the card above, you can see that it features a very simple checked background, with a ribbon border, a sentiment and a sewing machine motif. Even though it’s a pared back card, it’s still super adorable and great for needlecraft lovers!
