What are Fold Back Shaped Gatefold dies?
Each set in the Gemini Fold Back Shaped Gatefold range include dies to create a shaped card that opens out from the centre to reveal space for your message inside.
Plus you’ll also receive dies to cut out decorations and embellishments to customise your card design.
Can anyone use them?
Every die set includes full step-by-step instructions so all abilities can create a fun, interactive card in a variety of shapes!
All you need is a die-cutting machine, a die and your chosen card or paperstock. Simply create your plate combination using the helpful Sandwich Guide in the instruction manual and run through your die-cutting machine – it’s that simple!
How to make a Fold Back Shaped Gatefold card
Here are step-by-step instructions to create a Fold Back Shaped Gatefold using the Gemini collection.
- Cut a piece of cardstock measuring 15″ x 5.5″
- Score your cardstock according to the image shown. Please note, some die sets will have different measurements. Refer to the step-by-step instructions in your set to find the correct measurements.
- Fold and burnish the scorelines to create a concertina gatefold card blank as shown
- Use the notches on the outer die in your set to position it onto the closed card front.
- Temporarily secure it onto the closed card front using low tack tape
- Follow the instructions with your Gemini Die Cutting machine to create your plate combination and run through the machine
- Die cut the co-ordinating dies to complete and decorate your design
