Spectrum Noir design team member Lori is here again today to share how she created this wonderful rosette topper for her cupcake box!
Crafter’s Companion supplies:
Directions:
Step 1: Die-cut and emboss 2 Scallop Cupcake Wrappers.
Step 2: Accordian-fold wrappers at the score lines and burnish each fold.
Step 3: Add glue to end flap of each wrapper. Affix the 2 ends by inserting the tabs into slits. This will form a circle. Tip: The glue can be added before attaching the 2 wrappers together – or afterwards.
Step 4: Using the cut-out piece from the Cupcake Insert Die (from making the cupcake box) – apply a generous amount of hot glue.
Step 5: Affix the 2 pieces together – making sure the rosette forms the circle and lays down flat on the disk with the hot-glue. Hold the pieces together until glue cools and rosette sticks in place. TIP: The center of the rosette doesn’t need to be perfectly lined up in the center, since it will be covered with a flower.
Step 6: This is how the rosette will look.
Step 7: Die-cut and emboss flower and leaves from scrap pieces of construction cardstock that was used to make the cupcake box. Color the stems and leaves with green marker.
Step 8: Adhere leaves and flower pieces on top of rosette. Attach flower center with foam adhesive. Adhere completed rosette to top of cupcake box.
