Picture this - you’ve just bought a friend, family member, or loved one a lovely gift, but you’re at a loss for how to wrap it. Rather than buying a gift bag, why not get crafty and creative and make your own? That way, you can truly customise it to your liking!

That’s why we’ve put together this quick and easy craft guide for making a gift bag from a Resist Pad, so you can give those who matter most a gift that they’ll remember.

Here’s what you’ll need

Step-by-step instructions

  1. Choose your design from the Resist Pad.
  2. Using the score board measure out 8 ½ inches width and then cut down that line.
  3. Turn the design face down.
  4. Then scoring from the top to bottom, score ½ inch, 2 inches, 2 inches, 2 inches and the final segment should measure 2 inches.
  5. Measure 2 inches up from the bottom and score all the way across.
  6. Snip out the bottom left segment.
  7. Cut the vertical score lines from the bottom of the 2 inch squares up to the horizontal score line.
  8. Cut a 45 degree angle on the top and bottom of the ½ inch segment to create the flap to fold in.
  9. Turn the design over and use the shimmer spray to spritz the colour on. Use a paper towel to blot the excess.
  10. Fold your box in and use the tape pen to secure it.
  11. Fold in the bottom and again use the tape pen to secure.
  12. Using a hole punch, create a hole at the top in the front and back panel and thread the ribbon through to tie a bow.
