Projects that pop with the 3D Embossing Folders and Stencils

We absolutely love all of the effects that can be create with the Gemini 3D Embossing Folders and Stencils, so we thought we’d share some hints and tips on how to achieve the best results with them.
To re-cap, these folders have been specifically designed to give you an incredible 3D embossed effect with ease. All you need is a Gemini or another leading die-cutting machine and some of your favourite cardstock. Place the card inside your chosen folder, sandwich the folder between two cutting plates and roll the whole thing through your die-cutting machine! This results in an incredible, embossed 3D design for your papercraft projects.
To make the centrepiece images of these embossing folders pop even more, you can use the added stencils to ink over the top. This means that you can add even more depth to the designs with no worry of going outside the lines or add extra details into the embossed areas.

So now that we’ve got our basic information and an idea of all of the designs, let’s have a look at how to use them and the types of effects they can create.

If you’re in need of a little bit more inspiration, take a look at David Falcon’s project video below. Again, he uses the Chrysanthemum Folder and Stencil, but he uses a different technique to colour, rather than using Debbie’s method.
Where Debbie paints her inks on to the folder before embossing, David embosses his card, then adds his colour in a free hand style. Have a watch and see which technique suits you best!
The texture created by these folders is not only amazing to look at, but it also feels fabulous to the touch, so the 3D effect really brings the whole piece to life!
