Happy New Year to everyone! If you’re itching to get back into your crafting now the festive period is over, look no further for inspiration than this fantastic project by our DT member, Nicola Jolliffe.

You will need:
Peter Rabbit stamp plate
Stick & Spray
Collal Glue Gel
Collall Photoglue
Ultimate Pro
Derwent Watercolour pencils
Jet Black Staz-on ink
Tim Holtz Distress inks: Vintage Photo, Antique Linen, Peeled Paint
Adirondack Brights ink pad: Sailboat Blue
Two A4 pieces of copper Centura Pearl card
One A4 piece of Centura Pearl Snow White card
One piece of watercolour card
Masking tape
Sponge
Chocolate brown ribbon
X cut shape cutter (optional)
Deckle Scissors

Butt the long edge of a piece of copper card up against the handle edge of the Ultimate Pro and score along the ‘half-fold A4’ line. Place the short edge of the card against the edge of the Ultimate Pro and score along the same line again. Trim off the excess card and fold, giving you a 6-inch square card blank.

On an A5 piece of Snow White card, mask off the card in a chequered pattern, using masking tape.

Using the Peeled Paint distress ink pad and a piece of dry sponge, dab the colour onto the whole of the card, making sure the unmasked squares are covered well.
Carefully remove the masking tape and re-cover with more tape, this time placing the strips over the coloured squares you have just created. Again, dab colour onto your masked card, with Antique Linen.
Repeat this action twice more, using Vintage Photo and Sail Boat Blue, until all the squares are covered.
Remove the final set of masks and leave to dry for a short time, while making up the rest of the card.
Using a piece of watercolour card, stamp Peter Rabbit using Staz-on.

Using the Derwent pencil colours stated on the colouring guide which accompanies the stamps, colour Peter and cut out in a circle, using an Xcut Shape cutter if you have one. Cut a 5.5-inch square out of your chequered card and mount onto the base card, using Collall Photo glue.
Mount your finished circle onto a spare piece of copper card and cut round with deckle scissors. Mount this topper onto the centre of the chequered card, using glue gel. Using the Vintage Photo ink pad, stamp your greeting onto a piece of Centura Pearl card and matt and layer onto copper card. Cut round the sentiment using deckle scissors, and mount onto your card using glue gel. Attach a piece of chocolate brown ribbon on the left hand side and tie in a knot.
